Milele- Kitale, Kenya
Jude came to Milele after leaving a difficult situation in his home country, Uganda. He ended up living on the streets in Kenya, but quickly made friends with other boys who were also without homes. His friends helped him learn Swahili and he was introduced to our Ministry Partner, Milele. Finally, Jude was given the opportunity to attend school. He was extremely determined to better himself through his education. He excelled in his studies and eventually graduated from one of the top high schools in Kenya, ranking in the highest 0.1% of students on his final exams (the equivalent of our SATs.) Jude is currently studying mechatronics and electrical engineering at one of the top universities in Kenya. Ultimately, he would love to continue pursuing his higher education in the US. Jude was made to thrive and we know he will continue to have a healthy and fulfilled life thanks to opportunities provided to him through Milele!
“As a small but growing organization, in 2021 we faced challenges in keeping up with the necessary hours and expertise for bookkeeping and financial oversight. I can confidently say ABB is one of our most valuable partners to date. ABB allows us to focus on the impact, transformation, and healing we are doing in the lives of students and families in Kenya, while they provide quality accounting services. There is no other company or organization that offers what Milele receives from ABB. They allow us to truly maximize the impact of every dollar we invest in street youth in Kenya. ABB has become a core part of our team and ministry.”
